Are skype spectators cheating?

This is a discussion thread in the discussion forum. I'm not quite sure why you think it doesn't fit here?

It does have a goal.
My brother thinks it's cheating. I don't. I want to know what the community thinks.

I think it gives you an unfair advantage. But still, i would do it myself if i got a good skype team together. It seems like a good tactic to win in my opinion.

Well, its not technically cheating in our books. If we had a way to stop it we would, however since there is no way to regulate this we allow anyone who wants to do it, do it. I personally don't like it much, but we cant do anything about it.

Depends on the amount of people who are doing it, the fact is that skype teams are not against the rules and I think almost everyone has a buddy floating around as a spectator talking to them through skype so in the end, if everyone does it, it doesn't count as an advantage over the other people, but in the end a leveler so everyone plays fairly.
Also it is in a way more realistic just about every country now has satelites that do the same thing.

It should be allowed because it gets rid of the noobs who camp in trees from the start. Its just really annoying.

I personally don't like it. But it is not against the rules and can't really be stopped.

Well, I wouldn't call it cheating, rather using a tactic in a team, sure it gives an advantage over players when you know where they are, but you can easily avoid being back stabbed if you just keep your eyes open, a good sprinter can also sprint away from the threat without troubles.

I don't really think this would be cheating, because if you got good enough Armour and weapons, you should be able to kill the Skype team anyway.
